Have you ever walked above the clouds? That’s what it feels like to trek the trails of Himachal Pradesh. I chose the Triund trek for its beginner-friendly path and stunning 360-degree views of the Dhauladhar range.
The journey began in McLeod Ganj, where I stocked up on momos and tea. The climb, though steep at points, was manageable, especially with the promise of the snowcapped peaks ahead. With each turn, the air got thinner, the views got wider, and the silence got deeper. By the time I reached the summit, clouds floated below me like a soft sea.
As night fell, the sky became a planetarium of stars. We slept in tents, with the cold nipping our noses, but our hearts were full. This trek didn’t just test my legs—it fed my soul.
