Mexico – A Country of Colors, Flavors, Chaos, and Magic You Cannot Explain, Only Feel

Mexico

Mexico wasn’t just a trip – it was an avalanche of sensations.
Spices, streets, music, history, waves, ruins, and people who treat strangers like cousins they haven’t seen in a while.

There are countries that you see.
Mexico is a country you taste, smell, hear, and remember in your bones.

If Indonesia feels like discovery,
Mexico feels like energy.

1. Mexico City – A Mega City With a Soul (and Traffic That Can Break Yours)

CDMX came at me fast – chaotic markets, street tacos that cost a dollar and taste like heaven, and murals that tell the country’s entire story without a single word spoken.

Things I still think about:

  • Tacos al pastor at midnight with salsa that made me re-evaluate my life choices
  • Frida Kahlo’s house – blue walls, red flowers, pain dressed as poetry
  • Mariachi music echoing through plazas
  • Museums so huge you need stamina and snacks

Mexico City is loud, messy, alive –
and it teaches you that chaos can be beautiful.

2. Tulum – Where Paradise Meets Wellness, Wi-Fi, and Way Too Many Influencers

Tulum is what happens when nature and boho design fall in love.

Flashbacks from Tulum:

  • Yoga at sunrise, ocean breeze as background music
  • Cenotes – underground pools that feel like nature’s secret spas
  • Beach clubs that make you forget you once had responsibilities
  • Nights that start with mezcal and end with new friends

People go to beaches.
They stay because Tulum makes time feel optional.

3. Cancun – All-Inclusive Fun Until You Realize You Want More

Cancun is beautiful – turquoise water that looks edited in real life.

But the best memories?

  • Jumping on a boat and heading out
  • Snorkeling with fish that looked like Pixar drew them
  • The ocean so peaceful you hear your own heartbeat

Cancun is the gateway – to islands, reefs, ruins – a start, not the whole story.

4. Chichen Itza – Where History Makes You Feel Small (In a Good Way)

Standing in front of the ancient Mayan pyramid was one of those moments where the world suddenly feels older than your worries.

You’re not just looking at architecture.
You’re staring at centuries of genius – no tech, no AI, just human minds and stars guiding everything.

5. Oaxaca – The Flavor Capital of Mexico

If Mexico had a stomach, its heart would be Oaxaca.

Things I’ll never forget:

  • Mole – chocolate, spice, mystery in a single bite
  • Handmade markets – colors that make your eyes happier
  • Mezcal tasting – smoky, warm, dangerously charming
  • Families cooking together like it’s a sacred tradition

Food wasn’t a meal here –
It was culture on a plate.

When to Visit

  • November-April: Best weather, perfect for exploring
  • June-October: Rainy but cheaper and greener

These are the places that I went this July. I booked my trip with Sasta Holiday and nothing can be more perfect than this.
